What is a Diamond from Hair?
Diamond is the hardest substance and one of the most precious treasures in the world. A diamond from hair is the beautiful crystallization of the carbon content contained within your hair, sharing the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as natural diamonds. Every Sunny Eden™ lab-grown diamond is as unique and irreplaceable as its origin, born from an incredible journey, telling a remarkable story.
The Birth of Your Diamond.
We will examine and refine your hair to obtain pure carbon that crystallizes to form diamonds. After that, your Sunny Eden™ lab-grown diamond will grow for 6-12 months at an extremely high temperature of 1,500°C (2,700°F) under ultra-high pressure (60 kbar), which is similar to the conditions beneath the earth’s mantle. Different growing settings and catalysts are used for each order, resulting in brilliantly beautiful diamonds.

Over the years, our technology to grow diamonds has advanced considerably, and so has the amount of control we have in our laboratory. Through research and thousands of experiments on lab-grown diamonds, the process has been significantly refined for greater sizes, better clarity, and brighter colors. Each human hair is unique, and so is each diamond we make. As a result, we cannot accurately predict the final 4Cs of our lab-grown diamonds, but we can guarantee exceptional quality.
Greater Sizes
With the same budget for mined diamonds, you may be able to get your hands on much larger lab-grown diamonds of identical quality - typically 2-3 times bigger than natural ones especially if they're colored diamonds with higher carat weights.
Better Clarity
90% of our lab-grown diamonds’ clarity is between FL (Flawless) and VS2 (Very Slightly Included). Clarity grades above VS2 indicate inclusions that are not visible to the naked eye and are difficult to detect even under 10x magnification.
Brighter Colors
Most of our colorless lab-grown diamonds receive a color grade higher than H, meaning they’re purely colorless to the naked eye. Naturally colored diamonds can be dull or dark, but ours are created to be consistently beautiful thanks to our advanced technology.

Real Certified Diamonds
The Sunny Eden™ diamonds, grown from human hair, share the same physical, chemical, and optical characteristics as natural mined diamonds. They possess the same fire, scintillation, and sparkle. Diamond experts cannot visually distinguish them from natural diamonds even under 10X magnification.

A diamond is pure, crystallized carbon. Carbon is a crucial element for life, which makes up 18.5% of the human body. Human hair consists of carbon(45%), oxygen(28%), nitrogen(15%), hydrogen(6.7%), and sulfur(5.3%), among many other trace elements. Not only do these elements greatly impact your health, but they also represent your own individuality and uniqueness.
Lab-grown Diamonds and the 4Cs
The 4Cs originally stand for: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat.
Cut: The cut of a diamond indicates its brilliance and fire. The better the cut is, the more light is reflected.
Color: Diamonds are mostly “Colorless,” despite possible slight tints of yellow or brown. The grading system for colorless diamonds ranges from D (the most rare) to Z (the most common).
Clarity: The clarity grading analysis of a lab-grown diamond helps point out any inclusions that may or may not affect the appearance of a diamond.
