Sunny Eden™ Fancy-colored Diamonds

Diamonds come in various colors, from pure white, pale pink, light blue to rose red, and colored diamonds are as gorgeous as flowers. Despite their amazing variety in colors, colored diamonds are simple in structure and pure in composition, just like their colorless equivalents. Their creation only requires one element: carbon, which plays a key role in crystallization.

Like colorless diamonds, colored diamonds also form under high pressure in the earth's mantle. The crystallization process is influenced by different environmental factors such as temperature, ecological changes, and natural radiation, resulting in impurities or inclusions in the internal structure of the crystals, giving them a wide range of brilliant colors.

The birth of a fancy-colored diamond is a coincidence, a miracle of nature. In Sunny Eden™, we create diamonds in the most adored colors such as yellow, blue, rose pink, and other bright fancy colors such as red and green. We are always here to help you find the unique fancy color that suits you best.

Despite the new trend towards simple and versatile wedding bands, colored diamond rings remain the most dazzling and appealing option for the public, symbolizing beauty, romance, and nobility. Colored diamonds are among the most precious stones in the world, giving engagement rings a higher value than those with white diamonds.

Although fancy colored diamonds can be more expensive than white diamonds, their beautiful colors convey an inexplicably magical feeling that cannot be measured by price. They can easily capture your heart at first glance. Choose a fancy colored diamond ring for your engagement ring, and be blessed with a marriage full of love and colorful memories.

More Colors

Diamonds come in various colors, from pure white, pale pink, light blue to rose red, and colored diamonds are as gorgeous as flowers. With their endless colors, colored diamonds are simple in structure and pure in composition, requiring only one element, carbon, to crystallize.

Real Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same physical properties as mined diamonds and can be tested by professional machines. They can also stand up to wear and pass from generation to generation like real diamonds, and professional agencies like GIA or IGI can certify them.

Guilt-Free

Lab-grown diamonds do not cause an enormous burden on the environment. Both you and your life partner will enjoy a clean engagement ring without local plants or animals being hurt in the process. People can also feel good that they are not supporting an unsavory diamond mine.

Eco Friendly

Sunny Eden™ colored diamonds are formed in a high-pressure, high-temperature environment that simulates the Earth's mantle. As the name suggests, lab-grown diamonds are made in labs. There is also no loss of fuel. The birth of the laboratory diamond is a natural miracle.

High Quality

Many natural diamonds have impurities or inclusions in the internal crystal structure due to the environment they were grown in. However, lab-grown diamonds have fewer flaws. They are created in a more controlled environment. Lab-grown diamonds can be brighter than naturally mined diamonds.

More affordable

The higher-quality the diamond, the more expensive it will be, but with Sunny Eden, you can save on your engagement diamond ring cost by going with a $2000 lab-grown diamond. This will allow you to get an overall better ring that both you and your life partner will love. Start your personal and unique design from here.

Sunny Eden™ Fancy Colored Diamond

Colorless Sunny Yellow Eden Green Sky Blue Rose Pink

Take your vows in the presence of friends and family.
Air is colorless. A glass of purified water is colorless. And diamonds graded D, E, and F by appraisers are colorless. One colorless diamond is truly a remarkable workpiece. Not only does it represent a lifetime of love and devotion, but it also stands out in an engagement ring and allows the rainbow-colored fire of the diamond to shine.
It's essential to find a diamond that speaks to you and embodies your one-of-a-kind personality. A colorless diamond ring has always been considered the purest love in the world, and if you like the colorless diamond, may it add more glory to your finger.

Evoke your radiance of here and now with yellow.
In the natural world, yellow is the color of sunflowers and daffodils, lemons, canaries, and bees. In our contemporary world, yellow is the color of beach sand and sparkling wine.
In almost every culture, yellow represents sunshine, happiness, and warmth. At Sunny Eden, yellow is one of our primary colors. We are defining this color as happiness, optimism, enlightenment and creativity, sunshine, and faith. It could be your diamond color if you like it.

Enjoy your great popularity around vivid green envies.
When Adam and Eve introduced the idea of love into the West, they were near-perfect role models for the healthy, resilient, loving relationship most people crave. In the Garden of Eden, green is no longer just a color but the symbol of pristine and abundant natural beauty.
In the most romantic American dream, Gatsby from Fitzgerald's novel saw the Green Light each night to hope he could win his beloved girl Daisy back. When green with luck and unwavering love is melted into the diamond, it's the sincere vow from every fiancé-to-be and fiancée-to-be until death does them part.

Embellish your love story under the blue sky.
Blue is the favorite color of all people because of its rarity and newness. In addition, it's nature's color for water and sky, and today, blue is embraced as the color of trust and responsibility.
When we accomplish the impossible, fight all odds, and choose a path that has a new beginning, our heart gets crowded with feelings that are too deep to be described in words. So when a couple plans to engage in a marriage palace, Sunny Eden is willing to provide a gorgeous blue diamond with rare craftsmanship.

Elevate your romance with the lovely pink hue of a rose.
When pink and rose merge, it becomes the most moving pink rose. If the red rose screams intensity and passion, the pink rose subtly expresses more refined feelings.
A light rosy tone is often associated with femininity, so naturally, the pink rose meaning is that of grace and sweetness. Such a lovely color with gentleness, appreciation, joy, thankfulness, and elegance makes pink appropriate for many occasions. A pink rose engagement ring can be your simple expression that you want your life partner to be happy from tender love to affection to preference.

Engagement Rings in Different Metals

  • 18K White Gold

White gold engagement rings exhibit the icy luster of a colorless or nearly colorless center diamond. White gold is an alloy of gold and at least one other white metal, such as palladium, zinc, copper or silver. White gold acquires its signature silvery-white hue from a very thin layer of rhodium. In fact, when gold is mixed with another white metal, "the resulting color remains a dull gray to tan", which requires rhodium plating to obtain the white luster. One of the greatest advantages of a white gold ring is that the ring is a neutral silver color that does not affect the center stone. The gemstone will reflect the silvery-white metal without causing any noticeable color difference in the stone. In addition, white gold tends to be shinier and less dull, making it a valuable but cost effective choice.

  • 18K Yellow Gold

Gold is a natural metal that is very durable, yet malleable. It is naturally resistant to corrosion and tarnishing, ensuring that it can withstand years of wear and tear. Gold is a mixture of gold metals. In most cases, gold is mixed with 25% other metals, such as silver, to obtain a soft, buttery tone like 24 carat gold.
Yellow gold is often considered more classic than white gold. Unlike white gold and platinum, which look alike, the look of yellow gold is hard to imitate. Yellow gold carries a distinctive, warm glow. Because of the contrast in color, diamonds set in yellow gold usually have more of a showy appearance than those set in white gold.

Rose gold engagement rings are best known for their romantic look and stunning designs. Rose gold is an opulent feminine choice that uses a copper alloy and gold components. It is sometimes referred to as pink gold or red gold. Rose gold rings are just as durable as other popular engagement rings, and they look beautiful with everything from traditional diamonds to colored gemstones. The lovely pink hue of a rose gold engagement ring enhances your romantic feelings. Both rose gold and yellow gold contain gold, copper and silver, but rose gold has more copper alloy and less silver added to achieve a rosy hue. The modern look of rose gold provides an interesting backdrop for oddly shaped diamonds.

  • Platinum

Platinum is considered to be the rarest and most precious jewelry metal, and as such it commands a high price. In fact, platinum rings typically cost about 25% more than the same set of 14k gold rings. Unlike white gold, pure platinum has a natural white hue that does not fade or require recoloring. Overall, platinum is the most hypoallergenic, making it the safest choice for patients with allergies or sensitive skin. Platinum is also denser than gold, which means that a platinum ring will feel heavier. If you want to design an engagement ring that will last as long as your love for each other, then choose platinum. White gold engagement rings are Sunny Eden's most popular choice because they offer a white sheen that mirrors the brilliance of the diamond. This incredibly durable material means that the engagement ring you design will last for years to come.

Lab-grown Diamond Technology

In the 1950s, man-made diamonds which were suitable for industrial use were first produced in laboratories. The first gem-quality diamonds were produced in laboratories in 1971. Still, it was not until the mid-2010s that colorless Lab-Grown Diamonds appeared in large numbers in the gem and jewelry markets.
At present, Lab-Grown Diamonds are usually made in two ways: the High-Pressure and High-Temperature (HPHT) method and the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method.

High-Pressure and High-Temperature (HPHT) diamonds are made in the laboratory to mimic the High-Pressure and High-Temperature conditions under which natural diamonds are formed beneath the earth's surface. The HPHT process enables HPHT specialists to create beautiful, authentic, and uniquely shaped diamond crystals in a controlled environment and is becoming increasingly popular among fine jewelry collectors. Unlike diamond alternatives and diamond simulants available on the market, such as moissanite, cubic zirconia, and white sapphire, HPHT diamond is a real diamond with the same chemical and physical properties as natural diamonds.

Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) decomposes carbon-rich gas molecules (such as methane) into carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms. It then attaches them to diamond seeds to produce square flat diamond crystals. The advantages of CVD diamond growth include the ability to grow diamond on a large area and different substrates and the fine control of chemical impurities and the characteristics of the resulting diamond. The CVD process does not require high pressure because growth usually occurs at a pressure of 27kpa. Diamonds grown by the CVD method need additional treatments, such as heating or irradiation, to enhance or change their color after growth.

Lab-Grown Diamonds Technology

In the 1950s, man-made diamonds which were suitable for industrial use were first produced in laboratories. The first gem-quality diamonds were produced in laboratories in 1971. Still, it was not until the mid-2010s that colorless Lab-Grown Diamonds appeared in large numbers in the gem and jewelry markets. At present, Lab-Grown Diamonds are usually made in two ways: the High-Pressure and High-Temperature (HPHT) method and the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method.

FAQs

  • The differences between lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds cannot be seen with the naked eye. Lab grown diamonds have the same chemical, physical and optical properties as mined diamonds, and exhibit the same fire, sparkle and scintillation.
So, a lab diamond will have the same brilliance and shine and look as beautiful as a natural one. Mined Diamonds often have tiny amounts of nitrogen while lab grown diamonds do not. This is one of the references people use to distinguish these two types of diamonds. Only trained gemologists and sophisticated equipment designed for this certain purpose can distinguish lab grown diamonds from natural diamonds.

  • Lab grown diamonds are just as real as natural mined diamonds. They are identical in every way, except that lab created diamonds are grown in a laboratory.
Natural diamonds were created under the pressure of the earth's crust over billions of years. We create lab grown diamonds by placing them in the same environment, only in a laboratory setting. In fact, the process used to create lab-grown diamonds has greatly reduced the growth time from billions of years to only a few months.

  • Since lab grown diamonds are the same chemically as natural Diamonds, they come with certification. Lab Grown Diamonds are being accepted and certified by the GIA, The Gemological Institute of America. GIA gives assessment to every lab-grown diamond submitted to its gemstone grading to determine the diamond's cut, color, clarity and carat weight according to strict international standards.

  • The long process and the manpower that it takes to mine diamonds accounts for the high pricing of natural diamonds, but technology has made it more cost-effective for producing diamonds. A lab grown diamond can range approximately from 30% to 50% less expensive than an equivalent earth mined diamond, depending on the size and quality you select.
When it comes to a colored diamond, the price for a natural diamond increases significantly, while the price won't change too much for lab grown diamonds in different colors. This means that for the same price, instead of a small and colorless natural diamond, you can purchase a significantly larger lab-created diamond in the fancy color you like which is certifiable by GIA and IGI.

  • There are so many different ways to make your engagement ring unique: through a certain unusual design element, a personalized message, or even self-selecting every single detail from start to finish. All you need to ensure that the ring is unlike any other engagement ring someone else is wearing is to have your engagement ring customized, and that's what we do here at Sunny Eden.
At Sunny Eden, not only can you select every detail for your dream engagement ring, you can have your diamond laser inscribed, and engrave special messages on the ring setting. What's more, the fancy-colored diamond shining bright on your ring is made from your or your loved one's hair, which makes your engagement ring one-of-a-kind and as special as you.

  • Unlike purchasing a mass-produced ring from a shop, custom making an engagement ring is a process that evolves into a beautiful journey, and the sentimental value is incomparable. This is a process that you need to be patient and allow time for to make your unique dream engagement ring into a reality. It usually takes 2-4 weeks to make an engagement ring and to mount your diamond onto the ring. However, there are several elements involved in custom making a Sunny Eden fancy colored diamond engagement ring: from the production of the colored diamond from your hair in our laboratory, the cutting and polishing of the diamond, the certification of the diamond, to the manufacturing of the ring and the setting of the diamond/s. On average, the whole process of growing a diamond will take 3-6 months. Depending on the color, size and cut for example, larger stones take a longer time to grow. General lab-grown diamonds are much faster. Any extra service like custom laser inscription may also add some more time. After all, for a special and unique custom engagement ring that you can cherish for a lifetime, this time is like a drop in an ocean and worth waiting for.

  • Although the majority of diamonds are colorless, colored diamonds come in almost a thousand different colors and exist in nearly every shade of the rainbow. Basically, colored diamonds have 12 base colors by which they can be classified. These include red, orange, yellow, green, violet, blue, purple, pink, brown, and gray diamonds. In addition, black and white diamonds also exist. The shades of these tones also play an important role. A dark yellow diamond looks very different from a vivid yellow diamond.

Each base colored diamond can be further classified according to the intensity of the color. There are nine levels of color intensity, ranging from faint, very light, light, fancy light, fancy, fancy dark, fancy deep, fancy intense, and vivid. Not all fancy colored diamonds have all levels of color intensity.

  • Natural colored diamonds are very rare, less than 0.1% of the number of mined diamonds. According to the basic rules of economics, the price is fundamentally determined by the rarity of the color of the diamond and the difficulty in obtaining it. Although there are thousands of diamond colors, we would classify colored diamonds into three major color groups based on their price.

Relatively affordable fancy colored diamonds - gray, brown and fancy yellow diamonds.

Mid-priced colored diamonds- rich, vibrant yellow and orange diamonds.

The highly priced colored diamonds- red, pink, purple, violet, green and blue diamonds.

For lab-grown diamonds, the price of different colored diamonds is mainly based on the difficulty to create the colored shade during the growing process. Sometimes, a lab-grown yellow diamond can be less expensive than a colorless one.

  • In white colorless diamonds, the obvious answer is color D (diamond color chart from D-Z). But among colored natural diamonds, pink, purple, green, blue, violet and pure orange diamonds are extremely rare and therefore incredibly expensive. Diamonds of these colors can often be sold for millions of dollars through auction houses. The baseline price per carat can reach several tens of thousands of dollars, and any enhancement in their properties, such as larger size or stronger color intensity (intense or vivid), increases the pricing exponentially.

Despite there are arguments regarding which is more expensive between blue and pink diamonds, red diamonds are unquestionably the rarest, and therefore the most expensive color of diamond among natural diamonds! They only have a "fancy color" intensity, pure red diamonds barely exist. The most famous red diamond in the world is the Moussaieff Red Diamond, a pure red diamond of 5.11 carats.

When it comes to lab-grown colored diamonds, laboratory experts can create different shades of colors by adding different treatments during the growing process of the diamonds. This makes lab created diamonds perfect affordable substitutes of mined diamonds in these rare colors.

  • The short answer to that is no they are not. A ring made out of hair is made to order with a lock of hair or some flowers and is actually made of resin within which a lock of hair is sealed. The final product, therefore, feels really lightweight and plasticky due to resin being its main component.

However, diamond rings made out of hair are a whole ‘nother story. It's not just simply hair being put straight into the diamond or the ring band; It’s the center diamonds that are the stars of the show. The diamonds are in fact lab grown instead of naturally mined. Technology is turning the carbon in hair into a “forever diamond”. A diamond made from hair is not only a reward of a completely personalized transformation journey, but also a precious keepsake that enables you to remember the beloved by.
